We have created a dome theatre in the Shanghai Astronomical Museum, inviting the audience on a voyage from near earth orbit to the faraway reaches of the universe. Completely immersed, the audience will see planets and stars zoom by, fly through galaxies and explore the mysterious beauty of deep space. By touching the celestial light symbols on the massive starglobe in the middle of the theatre, the viewer can activate parallel knowledge sequences and experience more on this trip through space, than passive watching.
