We trace the birth and growth of cities over the past five thousand years in both the East and the West, from ancient times till now. First we established several geometric shapes which are common to all those very different urban architectures, thus building a three-dimensional "city framework". Now, with the help of multimedia technology, this city comes to life. As the audience wonders through this virtual city, the architecture, the inhabitants, their rites and culture are constantly changing. The audience is traveling through time and space and experiences how people of all cultures have strived to imagine and build the “ideal city”.
