Xenario's work won the highest honor in China's tourism investment industry

The ITIA Awards, known as the Oscars of China's tourism investment, has announced the winner list of the 2021 Gold Awards.


The project, China Grand Canal Museum, which was designed and constructed by Xenario, won the gold medal of ITIA "Best Historical and Cultural Tourism Project", which represented the highest honor of China's tourism investment industry. Moreover, this would be another award after Xenario won the German Design Award in 2022.

ITIA Awards, founded in 2011, is known for its professional and authoritative awards and grand prize presentation. Moreover, it is the landmark annual event in China's tourism investment field. "ITIA" award process activity lasts for 3 months every year, from the perspective of investment, the organizer evaluates the investment level and effect of various cultural tourism investment projects in China. Moreover, it selects outstanding tourism investment enterprises, leaders and practitioners in industrial fields. In the end, there are twenty awards in total, includes three categories of tourism projects, tourism investment figures and tourism industry. For the development of the whole industry, the award establishes a vane. In the current selection, China Grand Canal Museum, Universal Beijing Result, Unique Henan Land of Dramas and other large-scale immersive cultural tourism projects were selected as the "best tourism project" gold medal.

China Grand Canal Museum located in Sanwan Scenic Spot of Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, covering an area of about 16,000 square meters. This project was led by Zhang Jinqiu, academician of The Chinese Academy of Engineering and the chief architect of China Northwest Architectural Design and Research Institute, and was operated by Nanjing Museum. Moreover, Xenario is responsible for the integration of design and construction.


The project was opened to the public in June 2021, as a gift for the centennial anniversary of the Party's founding. Since its opening, the museum has received 10,000 visitors per day, which was popular and hard to get a ticket. 

Xenario recreated large-scale immersive ancient Settings that allowed viewers to travel back thousands of years into history; designed the interactive experience of "knowledge display & escape room" which allowed the audience get personalized cultural and educational experience in the game. Moreover, Xenario created a 360° multimedia circular theater, so that audiences can fully perceive cultural vitality in a multi-dimensional space, which achieved the best integration of cultural education and entertainment experience of the museum. 


Combining with several original ancient-style characters and decrypted files, using modern media technologies such as AR virtual reality technology and full-domain projection real-time rendering, Xenario presented ancient history and culture.


By putting forward corresponding technical landing solutions, Xenario makes pioneering innovation and practical landing no longer a contradcn.
