The Delingha Planetarium and Science Museum is intended to provide citizens and tourists in Delingha and its surrounding cities in western China with a science popularization facility where they can explore the secrets of the universe, unveil the mysteries of nature and experience the charm of science. It also fills in a gap in the science exhibition halls in Haixi prefecture. By means of breathtaking multi-media technology, it immerses audience in a colorful, interesting and mysterious universe. 

Complete with a 15.4-meter dome theatre, the 3D immersive hemisphere space of 12 million pixels and 5.1 surround sound. Combined with a HD dome film entirely three dimensional with content scripture, it will guide audience through an unconventional cosmic voyage, inspiring people with unpredictable cosmic landscape and intriguing knowledge about the universe. High technologies including dome-screen projection slicing, high speed decompression of HD images, body recognition and 3D Spectra Vision are also applied to serve people with enjoyable and educational interaction.
