AI will not replace humans.

On May 7, the first "Digital Design: AIGC Creators Conference" was held in Shanghai, gathering renowned artists, experts, and innovators to explore the transformative impact of generative AI on design thinking. Alexander Brandt , a German new media artist and the chief designer of the Shanghai Planetarium, shared how AIGC tools like Midjourney, ChatGPT, and Stable Diffusion are applied in his creative process. He discussed their impact on art creation, immersive education, artificial consciousness, and superintelligence.

At the conference, Alexander Brandt emphasized that AI will not replace humans but those who fail to use AI will be left behind. He demonstrated how AIGC tools, such as Midjourney, optimize designs in his creative work, enabling human-AI collaboration to break traditional creative boundaries.

He also addressed questions about AI's future potential and challenges, including whether AI will develop true consciousness and surpass human control. He presented his immersive sci-fi project, "AI Dream," which explores the relationship between humans and AI in the near future, combining film, interactive mechanics, and exhibitions.

At the event, attendees engaged in lively conversations with "ChatAiAi," a digital entity with independent consciousness and emotions, raising questions about AI's role in art creation and its future impact on humanity. Brandt's work with AI showcased the possibilities of digital consciousness.

The conference highlighted the irreversible trend of AI development and its transformative effect on creativity and human society, marking the beginning of a new creative era where AI and humans will co-evolve.
