Creating a Predictable Future World for Teenagers

On August 5, 2023, the "2023 China Beijing (International) Audio-Visual Conference" – Digital Audio-Visual Art Forum, supported by the National Radio and Television Administration and guided by the Beijing Municipal People's Government, opened in Beijing. The event featured experts and industry leaders discussing key topics in the technology and art sectors, with a focus on "multi-sensory immersion and imagining with AI."

During the forum, German new media artist and future designer Alexander Brandt introduced the concept of "Hard Sci-Fi Immersive Education." This approach explores cutting-edge scientific topics such as antimatter engines, nanorobots, and artificial lifeforms, helping teens better understand technology and spark their interest in these fields. Alexander Brandt’s innovative perspective ignited heated discussions at the event.

He emphasized that "life itself is the most effective education" and that immersive education, especially through hard sci-fi, goes beyond traditional methods, merging creativity, emotion, and technology. This new approach fosters independent thinking and problem-solving, broadening teens' horizons and encouraging them to actively shape the future. As Brandt stated, "We aim not just to showcase past technologies but to build a predictable future for teenagers, inspiring them to envision the future of human civilization."

The forum highlighted the transformative power of digital art and its potential to revolutionize education, technology, and art, marking the beginning of a new intellectual wave.
